Dallas is renowned for its barbecue, authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. Famous products of the Dallas culinary scene include the frozen margarita and the chain restaurants Chili's and Romano's Macaroni Grill. The French Room at the Hotel Adolphus in Downtown Dallas was named the best hotel restaurant in the US by Zagat Survey. A number of nationally ranked steakhouses can be found in the Dallas area, including Bob's Steak & Chop House, currently ranked number 3, according to the USDA Prime Steakhouses chart behind Ruth's Chris Times Square and Bones Atlanta.

Meats come directly from ranch cows raised in Texan farms and ranches. Tokyo One Japanese Restaurant serves delicious sushi and has a good selection of wine. St. Café & Bakery features delicious baked dishes and pastries. This is a good place to unwind for some coffee and dessert after a long day of shopping. The Fish is located at 3636 McKinney Avenue, which serves great seafood and wine.
